Who operates this website

This website is operated by Angels in Action, an independent volunteer public-awareness and community-impact initiative. Angels in Action is not a registered nonprofit or charity, does not accept or process donations, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by any relief organization or government agency named on this website. See the Disclaimer for full detail.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for or intentionally collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, mailing addresses, company information, payment information, or other contact information through this website. Downloading either free resource never requires an email address, account, form, purchase, or donation.

We do not operate mailing lists, user accounts, lead forms, surveys, or marketing opt-ins.

Information collected automatically, and why

We use minimal first-party aggregate measurement, stored on our own server (not a third-party analytics service), for the following purposes only:

None of this measurement is used for advertising, retargeting, profiling, or resale.

How an "Angel Action" is counted

An Angel Action is recorded when a visitor clicks through from this website to the independently operated official relief page. To avoid counting the same visitor twice, we set a single first-party cookie (aia_counted) that expires after one year; if that cookie is already present, the click is not counted again. We also apply a basic automated-traffic filter based on the browser's user-agent string to reduce counting by bots and crawlers. No name, email address, or other personal identifier is attached to an Angel Action. An Angel Action measures an intentional click toward helping — it does not verify that a donation was completed, does not identify a donor, and is not proof of a completed transaction.

Cookies and similar technology

This site sets one first-party functional cookie (aia_counted), used only for the deduplication described above. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, tracking pixels, behavioral profiling, cross-site tracking, retargeting, or device fingerprinting. We do not use browser local storage or session storage to track visitors. Because the only cookie in use is strictly functional and not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, this site does not display a cookie-consent banner; see the notice in the footer of every page.

Data retention

Aggregate counters (visits, Angel Actions, downloads, source performance) are retained for as long as the campaign page is active and are not linked to an individual visitor. We do not retain raw IP addresses beyond what our hosting provider's standard server logs retain for security and diagnostic purposes (see below), and we do not compile a separate IP-address log for marketing or analytics purposes.

Hosting-provider logging

Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical server information — such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and requested pages — for security, diagnostics, and infrastructure operation. This is standard web-server log behavior, not a marketing or analytics tool controlled by Angels in Action.

Embedded video

Where an official government or emergency-management video briefing is embedded on this site, it is loaded using the provider's privacy-enhanced embed mode, which limits cookie use until and unless a visitor chooses to play the video. Playing the video is subject to that provider's own privacy practices.

Who receives information

We do not sell personal information, share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes, or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Angels in Action does not sell personal information, use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or maintain donor lists — because we do not collect donor information or process donations at all.

Global Privacy Control

Because this site does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no opt-out mechanism to invoke. If that changes, this policy will be updated and a Global Privacy Control signal will be honored where applicable.

Third-party websites

This site links to independently operated official relief and government resources. Following a link to a third-party website means that the third party's privacy policy, terms, security practices, transaction process, and data practices apply — not this policy. Angels in Action does not control and is not responsible for those third-party practices.

Children's privacy

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Angels in Action does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
